Our Mission

Highlands Center for Ballet Arts is dedicated to inspiring an appreciation and lasting love of dance through a masterful education program, artistic excellence, and incomparable performances. Our highly experienced faculty is committed not only to training skilled & accomplished dancers, but also to the development of the child as a whole. HCBA instills in its students qualities that will benefit them both in the dance studio and throughout life:  discipline, muscle control, coordination, agile minds, discernment, healthy nutrition, self-confidence, and positive body image.

Our Vision

The Highlands Center for Ballet Arts offers a carefully graded program of training. We place individual dancers in class levels according to age, experience, and ability. Classical ballet training is the primary curriculum of HCBA.  In addition, studies in classical jazz, contemporary dance, Pilates, Progressive Ballet Technique, and pre-professional training are also offered. Pre-ballet for young children, along with creativity in dance and music, provides an excellent preparation for future dance training.
